The Selden 2229 Europe boom is first choice for sailors and boat builders alike. The 2229 was designed specifically around Europe class rules to give the best combination of light weight and high vertical stiffness possible. During 1999 Selden completely revised the specification of the inboard end, in accordance with recent class rule changes. The inboard end now accepts a standard size bolt, and a stop is fitted at the outboard end to prevent the foot being pulled beyond the black band.
The Seldén Europe boom is manufactured from extruded and anodised 6000 series aluminium, for high stiffness, maximum strength, and long term durability. Your Proctor Europe boom will therefore not only out perform the competition, it will continue to do so for many years. Inboard end is also a high quality aluminium extrusion, boom sliders are stainless steel and designed to allow mainsheet blocks to be directly attached with no need for shackles.
