Big Day Ritual: I stick to my usual routine, handling equipment repairs weeks in advance and using familiar food and drinks to stay energized.

Most Excited for in 2025: ILCA World Championships in Qingdao, China. I love how sports offer the chance to travel and experience new cultures.

Goals for 2025: Regain my competitive mindset after the Paris Olympics and progress step by step.

Other Hobbies: Gardening, painting, horse-riding, mountain skiing (although I avoid it because whilst competing to avoid injury).

Big Day Ritual: Eat well, sleep well and listen to music to help calm my mind before the races.

Most Excited for in 2025: Experiences and memories to be made along the 2025 season.

Goals for 2025: To medal at the Junior Pan American Games, to make gold fleet at a major regatta.

Other Hobbies: Cycling, fishing, walking, gaming, surfing, spending time with my pets.

Big Day Ritual:

Alicia: Wear red gloves.

Elena: Has to use a sunscreen that she only uses during competition.

Alicia: Cycling and knitting.

Elena: Horse riding and sewing.

Big Day Ritual: Listen to relaxing music and do some pre race stretching to get in the zone.

Most Excited for in 2025: Competing at my first moth worlds in Lake Garda.

Goals for 2025: Top 10 at Waszp Games in Weymouth.

Class/Sport: Hobie 18.

Big Day Ritual: Checking the forecast properly… and that’s about as much planning as I do. Life is random, and I enjoy it that way.

Most excited for 2025: Sharing the Hobie way of life and connecting with people with the same vibe.

Goals for 2025: Keeping my boat in one piece.

Other Hobbies: Surf! If it involves wind and waves, I’m in. Off the water, trekking with my girl and my dog. And my electric guitar.

Big Day Ritual: No pre-comp rituals, but when I de-rig my boat after sailing, everything has its own place, so everything is always in the same order under my boat cover.

Other Hobbies : All to do with the sea and water, but outside of those I love to ski, and play the piano when I have the chance.

Big Day Ritual: Up early, lots of water, prepare equipment/clothes, read notes/SIs, check weather forecast.

Most Excited for in 2025: The Il Giro Figaro event in Italy and the Cape circuit.

Goals for 2025: Get better at tactics, Paris marathon.

Other Hobbies: Surfing, skiing, cycling, running, wakeboarding.

Big Day Ritual: Bike ride before sailing to spin the legs and clear the mind.

Other Hobbies: Road biking, rock climbing.

Big Day Ritual: Nothing special, stick to the routine with fitness activation before sailing.

Other Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, travelling to new destinations, kitesurfing and hiking.

Big Day Ritual: First in the boat park and last to leave the boat park, minimise the unforced errors before I hit the water.

Most Excited for in 2025: J24 Worlds, my home club is hosting the event so it should be a fun event. 

Goals for 2025: Win the ILCA 4 Nationals.

Other Hobbies: I love playing rugby and enjoy a round of golf with my friends.

Big Day Ritual: Race day breakfast and a great music playlist. Each race is fuelled by Haribos on the water.

Most Excited for in 2025: Competing in Los Angeles, USA, at the ILCA 4 World Championships.

Goals for 2025: To be competitive in international events.

Other Hobbies: Swimming, netball.

Big Day Ritual: I always eat the same breakfast made in a specific way.

Most excited for 2025: world championship in China!

Goals for 2025: Have fun while competing and sailing and in the meantime hopefully achieve good results.
