Rooster Extends Partnership with J/70 UK Class for 2025

Rooster Extends Partnership with J/70 UK Class for 2025

After an incredible 2024 Grand Slam Series, we’re excited to share that we are extending our partnership with the J/70 UK Class into 2025! Our continued collaboration reflects a shared passion for competitive racing and a dedication to growing the sport at all levels. With the J/70 class thriving both locally and internationally, we’re proud to remain part of this dynamic sailing community.

Building on a Strong 2024 Season

Last year saw 42 teams competing in the UK Grand Slam Series, showcasing the impressive strength of the UK fleet. This success was mirrored on the world stage, with standout podium finishes at both the Open and Corinthian World Championships. Now, 2025 promises to be even bigger. With the introduction of the first-ever Corinthian European Championships and the inaugural Mixed-Plus J/70 World Championship, the class continues to break boundaries and celebrate diversity on the water.

What’s Ahead for 2025

The UK Grand Slam Series returns with seven exhilarating events, beginning in April. As part of our support, we’re thrilled to provide prizes that celebrate exceptional performances across key categories like Mixed-Plus, Youth, and Club Boat divisions.

Adding to the excitement, the series results will determine which UK teams will represent the nation at the prestigious J/70 Worlds in Cascais 2026. With stakes higher than ever, this season is set to deliver intense racing, close competition, and unforgettable moments.

A Partnership with Purpose

J/70 UK Class Captain Ian Poynton expressed his enthusiasm for Rooster’s ongoing support:

"We are delighted to have Rooster on board for another year. Their commitment to the sport and shared values make them a perfect partner as we continue our efforts to grow participation, particularly among female and youth sailors. We’re looking forward to an incredible season ahead."

Luke Morrison, CEO of Rooster, added:

"We’re thrilled to continue supporting the J70 Class once again this year. It’s always incredible to see the energy and passion within the class, and we wish everyone a season full of fun, excitement, and success."

Our partnership with the J/70 UK Class reflects our deep commitment to growth, inclusivity, and excellence within the sport. By supporting this thriving class, we aim to encourage participation at all levels, from budding sailors to top-tier competitors, while promoting diversity and accessibility in racing.
