Albacore Seldén Mast Cumulus - Ex. Rigging.
The Cumulus mast for Albacore provides an excellent balance of stiffness, weight and gust response. The section was developed with Mike McNamara and Mike Holmes, the Seldén Cumulus section is ideally suited to the Albacore. The new section is lighter than the orginal sleeved ’D’ section, with an improved taper, creating a more DYNAMIC rig. With similar ’static’ stiffness, existing mainsail luff curves will suit, with the speed and reward coming from the more user friendly section.
The Cumulus masts are using the new Xtra Proof Strength (XPS) aluminum alloy.
