For small boat sailors who enjoy being on the water, the DragonForce 65 offers a simple and accessible way to get involved in the DF65 and DF95 racing circuits across the UK — whether at club level or local events. It’s competitive, sociable and easy to get started. 

Overview 

The DragonForce 65 V8 is a compact, high-performance radio-controlled racing yacht, supplied ready-to-run with a premium Futaba T6K radio system installed. 

It delivers genuine racing performance in a smaller, more portable package, making it ideal for sailors looking for quick, regular time on the water without the logistics of a full-size boat. 

Everything comes in the box, with key components pre-installed. With a straightforward build, you can be sailing within a couple of hours.

Setup & Build 

Assembly takes approximately 2–3 hours using clear instructions developed by designer John Tushingham. 

• Servos are pre-installed in the hull  

• Keel, ballast and rudder slot into position  

• Carbon “A” rig supplied part-built  

• Minimal rigging – no shrouds or spreaders  

Just add batteries and you’re ready to sail. 

Radio System – Futaba T6K 

Supplied and installed as part of the package, offering reliability and flexibility: 

• 30 model memory  

• Full telemetry (including onboard battery monitoring)  

• Channel reverse  

• End point adjustment (rudder and winch travel)  

• Channel mixing and advanced setup features  

Battery Setup Note: 
As the receiver is installed in the servo tray (for improved protection), we recommend fitting a USB rechargeable battery pack beside the fin box. This will require a short extension lead and Velcro to secure in place.

Batteries 

Batteries are not included. 

We recommend USB rechargeable battery packs, installed alongside the fin box using an extension lead and Velcro for a secure fit. 

Important Information 

The onboard electronics (servos, switch, wiring and batteries) are not waterproof. Care must be taken to keep the hull dry, as water damage is not covered under warranty.
